Marathon Bhutan is pleased to offer 3 packages to cater to each individual’s travel desires while visiting Bhutan; whether you are competing in an awe-inspiring marathon or coming to Bhutan to marvel at the competitors as they navigate their way through the Kingdom. The following packages have been designed to accommodate a breadth of time schedules and your interest in exploring Bhutan - 4-day, 7-day and 10-day packages. Should you wish to customize your visit, please contact us directly and we would be happy to arrange a private tour. Due to interest expressed by our runners we have added an 8 day trek after the marathon up to the Jumolhari base camp. We chose this trek specifically for it popularity, scenic views and the fact that the trek begins gradually, letting race runners recuperate from the marathon. Please check out the trek itinerary and contact us if you wish to sign up for this trek. The trek will start on September 8th and end on September 15th.

All Druk Air Tickets and Government Royalties are included in our package prices. Guests of Marathon Bhutan are eligible to fly from Bangkok or Delhi into Paro International Airport in Bhutan. All Druk Air tickets will be forwarded to you prior to your departure from home. All prices are based on group packages. If you wish a private tour or those individuals wishing to extend their package length please contact us personally about the additional charges and itinerary recommendations or changes.

Half Marathon Packages
Marathon Bhutan’s Half Marathon has been created to cater to runners wishing for a shorter course at an elevation of 2400m. The half marathon will challenge your physical endurance as you tour the Thimphu Valley while passing century old monasteries. The course will include a portion of the full marathon.
All Half Marathon Bhutan packages include breakfast, lunch and dinner, bottled water, tour materials, transportation, accommodation and the services of the guides and drivers. The package includes all travels, airfare from Bangkok or Delhi and destinations noted in the itinerary. In addition, the package includes the opening and closing ceremony, and a memorabilia t-shirt.

Spectator Packages
Come experience Marathon Bhutan as a spectator and the opportunity to explore the majestic Buddhist Kingdom of Bhutan. All Marathon Bhutan spectator packages include breakfast, lunch and dinner, bottled water, tour materials, transportation, accommodation and the services of the guides and drivers.
The package includes all travels and destinations noted in the itinerary. In addition, the package includes the opening and closing ceremony, memorabilia t-shirt and the organization of shuttle buses during the marathon to assist your viewing needs.

Not Included in Package Prices
Gratuities, massage, beer and specialty beverages including wine are not included in the package costs. In addition, every guest is responsible for their own travel/medical insurance, passport costs, visas, immunizations, excess baggage charges, telephone charges, internet, laundry, room service, snacks and anything of a purely personal nature.
Marathon Bhutan Hotel Upgrades
All Hotel Room Upgrades are in addition to the standard Marathon Packages. *All prices are based on double occupancy per night. Please contact us, should you wish to upgrade your hotel while visiting Bhutan. All hotel rates are subject to 10% Bhutan Sales Tax (BST) and 10% Service Charges and are based on availability!!
